Acceptable Use Policy
Effective June 3, 2026 · Last updated June 3, 2026
This policy sets the ground rules for using RapportIQ, including review integrity, lawful messaging, and prohibited conduct. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you may and may not do when you use RapportIQ. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. It applies to everyone who uses the Service and to all content and messages sent through it. If you breach this AUP we may limit, suspend or terminate your access, as described below.
2. Review integrity
Reviews are only useful if they are honest. You must not use the Service to undermine that trust. In particular, you must not:
- create, solicit, buy or post fake, fabricated or misleading reviews;
- offer money, discounts or other incentives in exchange for a review, or for a positive review specifically, where that is prohibited by the relevant platform or by law;
- gate reviews, for example by routing happy customers to leave public reviews while diverting unhappy customers away from them;
- post reviews about your own business, or a competitor’s, while posing as an ordinary customer;
- impersonate a customer, a platform, or another person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
- publish a reply that reveals a reviewer’s personal information or that is harassing, defamatory or deceptive.
You must also follow the review and content rules of each third-party platform (such as Google, Yelp, Facebook, and others) you connect. Consumer protection regulators in the countries where we operate treat fake and incentivised reviews as misleading conduct, and we treat them the same way.
3. Messaging and anti-spam
When you use the Service to send review requests or private messages to your customers, you are responsible for doing so lawfully. You must:
- have the consent required by the law that applies to you before you message a customer, and keep a record of it;
- only message people who have a genuine relationship with your business and who you are permitted to contact;
- identify your business clearly and honour opt-out or unsubscribe requests promptly;
- respect quiet hours and frequency limits that apply in your market.
These duties reflect the messaging laws of the countries we serve, including the Spam Act 2003 and Do Not Call rules in Australia, the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 in New Zealand, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations in the United Kingdom, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and CAN-SPAM Act in the United States, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and applicable rules in India. You, not RapportIQ, are the sender of these messages.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- post or send content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or that incites harm;
- upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data;
- probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Service or the platforms it connects to, or bypass their rate limits or security measures;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or data obtained through it, except as expressly allowed;
- misuse another person’s personal information, or upload data you do not have the right to provide.
5. Your account and your users
You are responsible for activity under your account, for the users you invite, and for the content and messages you send. Keep your credentials secure and make sure your users understand and follow this AUP.
6. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may remove or disable offending content, limit or suspend features, or suspend or terminate your account. Where practicable we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the problem, but we may act immediately where there is a risk of harm, a legal requirement, or a threat to the Service, other users or third parties. Serious breaches may be reported to the relevant platform or authorities.
7. Reporting a concern
If you become aware of a breach of this AUP, or of content sent through the Service that concerns you, contact us using the details below and we will look into it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
How to contact us
If you have a question about this document, or you want to exercise a right described in it, contact us and we will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you.
